book-hyperlink med

If you want to add product links to your store, just use objects within Sandvox 2. See the examples on the left side. This will enable you to make direct links to products within even your home page.

A comprehensive linking tutorial is available at the Datalogica website.

Link to a specific Category:

<p><a href="http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi?action=search&category=T-Shirts">T-Shirts</a><br /> <a href="http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi?action=search&category=Jeans">Jeans</a></p>

Link directly to inventory.html file:

<p><a href="http://www.mysite.com/html/inventory.html">Our Inventory</a></p>

Or use a button (left example):

<form method="get" action="http://www.mysite.com/html/inventory.html">
<input type="submit" value=" List Our Inventory " />

Link directly to a Product:

<p><a href="http://www.mysite.com/html/1.html">Modern Beach T-Shirt</a><br />
<a href="http://www.mysite.com/html/3.html">Twin Set T-Shirts</a></p>

Search our Shop Example:

On the left "Search our shop" field will find everything within your shop, example:

Fill-in the word "blue" and it will search in the product description but also within "options" such as a color "Baby Blue", fill-in a product number e.g. 1234, and it will find the product but also related items.

<form action="http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi" method="post">
<input type="text" name="keyword" size="15" />
<input type="submit" value=" Go " />
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="search" />

Categories in Pull Down Menu Example:

<script type="text/javascript">
function go()

<form name="frmNav" action="http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi" method="post">
<select id="category" name="category" onchange="go()">
<option selected="">--Select One--</option>
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="search" />

Tip! Copy and paste the above examples into your HTML pages.

CGI Rotator - This could be a featured product!

What is it? Reload this page to see the product image rotate. Click on the image to view the corresponding product!

Your product images (or banner ads) will rotate. Datalogica's CGI Rotator is a quick way to display product images or rotating banner ads on a website. It is a simple and efficient Perl script that will work on UNIX, Apple and Windows servers. The script does not include statistics or back end management. See the working example.

One of the challenges facing the modern web designer is to create sites that appear fresh and new every time a visitor shows up.

Tip! The (product) link will open in a new window, but you can change this in the JavaScript code. Change the target=new into target=_self. That's all!
